Asparagus roasted with crispy bacon and Parmesan for a flavor-packed dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus-washed, trimmed, and dried
  • 1/2 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and elegantly line a 12x18-inch sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Fry bacon in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until crispy and golden brown, for about 8 minutes. Take out the bacon, crumble it, and keep 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet.
  • To the savory drippings in the skillet, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, paprika, and black pepper. Cook and stir until the garlic becomes fragrant, which should take 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Toss asparagus in the skillet with seasoned oil until well coated. Transfer to a prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  • Bake until perfectly crisp-tender in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes (refer to note).
  • Arrange the asparagus on a platter, generously sprinkle with shaved Parmesan, top with crumbled bacon, and garnish with fresh parsley.
