Enhance flavor with vodka in this tasty pea and ham pasta.
Ingredients:
  • 40.00 gm unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 x 400g cans crushed tomatoes
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) vodka
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 250ml (1 cup) cream
  • 250.00 ml diced ham
  • 250.00 ml thawed frozen peas
  • Grated parmesan, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the onion and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute. Then, add the chili, tomatoes, and vodka. Let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is reduced and pulpy.
  • Simmer pasta in a large pot of flavorful salted water until perfectly cooked.
  • Combine cream, ham, and peas with the sauce and stir well. Season generously. Drain pasta and toss it in the flavorful sauce. Serve topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
