- 0.5 cup butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup vodka
- 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 pint heavy cream
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until golden and soft, about 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in vodka and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes until well blended.
- Add the luxurious heavy cream to the pot and let it simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
- Garnish with the savory sauce over a bed of al dente pasta.
