Total Time:
Homemade nostalgic after-school treats passed down through generations. Cherish the tradition with your loved ones.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan. Whisk together over low heat until smooth. Add sliced butter and stir until fully melted and mixed in.
  • Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and let it boil for 2 1/2 minutes. To test if it's ready, drop a spoonful of the mixture into a cup of cold water. If it forms a ball, it's done. If not, continue boiling for an additional minute.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and gently fold in the peanut butter until fully incorporated. Follow by adding the oats and combining thoroughly with a sturdy spoon. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto waxed paper.
