Indulgent peanut butter cake with rich chocolate sauce - a guaranteed crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 0.375 teaspoon fine salt
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease a 1 1/2- to 2-quart baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, peanut butter, canola oil, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt using a hand mixer on medium speed for about 30 seconds. Slowly add milk while continuing to mix for 1 1/2 minutes. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared dish using a rubber spatula, then place the dish on a baking pan with sides at least 1/4-inch deep to catch any spills.
  • Heat water in a microwave-safe measuring cup until boiling, about 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in sugar, cocoa, vanilla extract, and salt until fully dissolved. Pour the mixture over the cake batter without stirring, then place it in the oven.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a rack for at least 20 minutes before serving.
