Try these irresistible peanut butter filled chocolate bars made with Cocoa Puffs® cereal for a crowd-pleasing party treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows
  • 4 cups Cocoa Puffs™ brownie crunch cereal
  • 4 cups Cocoa Puffs™ cereal
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
  • 1 cup candy-coated peanut butter pieces, if desired
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 13x9-inch pan by spraying it with cooking spray. Microwave 1/4 cup of butter in a large microwavable bowl on High for 30 to 45 seconds until melted. Add marshmallows and coat them by tossing. Microwave uncovered on High for 1 minute 15 seconds to 1 minute 45 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until the mixture is smooth. Add cereals and mix well. Press the mixture evenly into the pan.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat the filling ingredients until smooth. Evenly spread the filling over the base.
  • Place chocolate chips and 1/4 cup butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth when stirred. Spread the mixture over the filling and sprinkle with peanut butter pieces. Chill for about 30 minutes until set. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows for bars and store loosely covered.
