Contest-winning cookie dough bars with a delectable dual-layer and rich frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips (6 oz)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped honey-roasted peanuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine double chocolate chunk cookie mix, 1/4 cup oil, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1 egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Spoon the dough evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
  • Combine peanut butter cookie mix, 3 tablespoons oil, 1 tablespoon milk, and 1 egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Drop spoonfuls of dough over the chocolate dough in the pan. Gently swirl together using a metal spatula and spread evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 25-27 minutes until edges turn a light golden brown, then take it out of the oven and evenly sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Allow it to sit for 2 minutes.
  • Combine powdered sugar, peanut butter, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl, stirring until smooth and easily spreadable. Pour the frosting over the chocolate chips, gently swirling them together. Sprinkle with peanuts and lightly press them into the topping. Let it cool completely for around 30 minutes before cutting into 9 rows by 4 rows to make bars.
