Death By Chocolate Crunch Bars

Decadent Death By Chocolate Crunch Bars: Fudge brownie base topped with peanut butter candies, Count Chocula™ cereal, chocolate and peanut butter chips, finished with rich chocolate frosting. Ultimate chocolate and peanut butter combo in every bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter candy in a crunchy shell
  • 3 1/2 cups Count Chocula™ cereal
  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/3 cups (8 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil and spray cooking spray on the bottom only.
  • Prepare and bake the brownies according to the instructions on the box for a 9-inch pan. Allow the brownies to cool completely for about 1 hour before frosting them, sprinkling with peanut butter candies, and refrigerating while preparing the cereal mixture.
  • Measure 3 cups of cereal into a medium bowl and set aside. In a 1-quart saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal in the bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread this delicious topping over frosted brownies. Enjoy!
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cereal on top, gently pressing down. Chill for about 1 hour until firm, then cut into bars by making 4 rows by 4 rows.
