Irresistible pear and blue cheese tart, a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 10.00 gm almond meal
  • 2 small firm pears, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 50g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 25g walnut
  • Honey, extra, to serve
  • Baby rocket leaves, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Layer one pastry sheet on the lined tray. Add the second pastry sheet on top. Gently brush with egg and dust with almond meal.
  • Overlap the pear slices over the pastry, leaving a 1cm border, then drizzle with honey. Bake for 20-25 mins until the pear is tender and the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  • Top the tart with tangy blue cheese and crunchy walnuts. Finish with a drizzle of extra honey and a sprinkle of fresh arugula to elevate the presentation.
