Pear & blueberry crumbles

Prepare a cozy winter crumble to usher in the season.
Ingredients:
  • 5 (about 800g) Josephine pears, peeled, quartered, sliced
  • 10.60 gm fresh lemon juice
  • 0.63 gm mixed spice
  • 1 tsp grated orange rind
  • 16.00 gm brown sugar
  • 300g pkt frozen blueberries
  • Low fat vanilla yoghurt, to serve
  • 100g low fat butter, melted
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 90g rolled oats
  • 70g breadcrumbs
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Simmer pears, lemon juice, spice, rind, and sugar covered over medium heat for 5 minutes until pears soften. Add blueberries and stir well.
  • Combine the butter, sugar, oats, and breadcrumbs to create a delicious crumble.
  • Spoon the pear mixture into 6 individual 3/4 cup (185ml) ovenproof dishes, straining excess liquid if needed. Top with the crumble mixture, place on a baking tray, and bake until golden. Serve with yogurt.
