Indulge in baked pears with chocolate crumble topping for a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 800g pear
  • 42.00 gm lemon juice
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 90.00 gm firmly packed brown sugar
  • 50g butter, chilled, chopped
  • 82.50 ml plain flour
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 62.50 ml dry roasted hazelnuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan forced. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine pears, lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes until the pears are just tender. Divide the mixture evenly between four 1 cup-capacity ovenproof dishes.
  • Prepare topping by combining ingredients in a bowl and rubbing them together with your fingertips until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over pear mixture. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, then allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Serve crumbles with cream, custard, or ice-cream.
