Sweet and tangy cranberry-pear sauce with honey and lemon. A delightful twist on traditional cranberry sauce that's easy to make and freezer-friendly.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 pears - peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil, then add pears. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in cranberries and honey. Cook until cranberries burst and mixture slightly thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Take the saucepan off the heat and mix in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Let it cool to room temperature before covering and storing in the refrigerator for up to a week.
