Nutty scones made with Bisquick mix enhanced by the sweet and juicy flavor of pears.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup chopped unpeeled red Bartlett pear
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar
  • 8 walnut halves
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick and granulated sugar. Add whipping cream and egg, mix until dough forms. Gently combine pear and chopped walnuts into the dough.
  • Place the dough onto the cookie sheet and shape it into an 8-inch round. If the dough is sticky, simply dip your fingers in Bisquick mix. Sprinkle with coarse sugar. Cut the round into 8 wedges using a sharp knife, but keep them attached. Place a walnut half on top of each wedge.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then gently separate the wedges and serve warm.
