Easy-to-make pecan pie bars with a sweet, crunchy twist. Ideal for pecan pie lovers!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1.5 cups light corn syrup
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 10x15-inch jellyroll pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Add 1 cup of butter and blend until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Evenly sprinkle the mixture over the pan and press firmly to form the crust.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Combine corn syrup, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, 3 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth. Mix in chopped pecans and spread the filling evenly over the baked crust right after it comes out of the oven.
  • Bake the filled pan in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes until set. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.
