Bake a scrumptious nutty upside-down cake using Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups broken pecans
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Combine brown sugar, melted butter, and corn syrup in a medium bowl. Stir in pecans until coated. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of the pan.
  • Combine cake mix, sour cream, water, oil, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed and beat for 2 minutes. Pour the batter over the pecan mixture in the pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 1 minute, then run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the cake. Invert a heatproof serving plate over the pan, then flip the pan over onto the plate. Remove the pan and spoon any topping from the pan onto the cake. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
