Decadent penuche candy: a luscious blend of brown sugar, cream, and pecans. Ideal for a light and sweet post-dinner indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Grease an 8x8-inch square dish with butter.
  • Combine brown sugar, white sugar, cream, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook until the mixture reaches 234-240°F (112-116°C) or forms a soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and let cool until lukewarm. Add vanilla and beat until creamy. Stir in nuts and pour into prepared pan.
  • Allow the dish to cool completely before slicing into squares.
