Peppered Brown Sugar Bacon

Elevate your brunch with flavorful sweet and spicy bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1/2 lb bacon (8 slices)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with foil and placing a wire rack on top.
  • Place brown sugar and peppers in a large resealable food-storage plastic bag and shake to combine. Add bacon slices to the bag and shake until evenly coated.
  • Lay the bacon out in a single layer on a rack and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Flip the bacon and generously coat it with the sweet brown sugar mixture. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until beautifully golden brown. Take it out of the oven and let it cool completely for about 15 minutes.
