Whip up a refreshing peppermint margarita with white tequila, triple sec, limeade, simple syrup, and peppermint schnapps!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup red colored sugar, or as needed
  • 0.25 cup white sugar, or as needed
  • 1 fresh lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup white tequila (such as Jose Cuervo Clasico®)
  • 1 cup simple syrup
  • 1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
  • 4.5 fluid ounces peppermint schnapps, or to taste
  • 0.5 cup triple sec
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced
  • 8 cups ice cubes, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup, or as desired
  • 1 fluid ounce brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed candy canes
Instructions:
  • On separate small plates, spread 1/4 to 1/2 inch red sugar and white sugar. Rim margarita glasses with lime wedge, dip into red sugar first, then white sugar in stripes pattern, resembling a candy cane. Set glasses aside.
  • Blend together tequila, simple syrup, limeade, peppermint schnapps, triple sec, and lemon juice until velvety smooth. Transfer the delightful tequila mixture into a quart jar.
  • Fill the blender with ice cubes, then pour a quarter of the tequila mixture over the ice and blend until smooth. While blending, add grenadine for a vibrant color. Pour the mixture into margarita glasses, splash with orange liqueur, and top with crushed candy canes. Repeat with the remaining tequila mixture and ice cubes.
