Ingredients:
  • 5 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (9 inch) deep-dish pie shell
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.66666668653488 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400°F (200°C).
  • Combine apples, brown sugar, white sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a bowl, then transfer the mixture into the pie shell.
  • Prepare the topping by combining flour, oats, 2/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons brown sugar in a bowl. Add melted butter, mix until crumbly, then sprinkle over the pie.
  • Place in the preheated oven until the apples begin to soften, approximately 15 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown, around 40 more minutes.
