Crispy roasted chickpeas done just right with this simple recipe technique.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • sea salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Lay chickpeas on paper towels to air dry thoroughly for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Bake the chickpeas in a preheated oven until golden for about 40 minutes, shaking the pan every 10 minutes. Once done, remove from the oven, toss with mixed spice and salt. Place the chickpeas back into the cooled oven, leaving it off until completely cold, which should take about 2 hours or up to overnight.
