Cheesy beef sandwiches wrapped in Bisquick® mix. Ready to dig in!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 3/4 cup cheese dip (from 15-oz jar)
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups frozen bell pepper and onion stir-fry (from 1-lb bag), thawed, drained
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch square pan or 2-quart glass baking dish with cooking spray. Place onion in a small bowl and cover with hot water.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the beef over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes until browned; remember to stir occasionally. Once cooked, drain the excess fat. Add the cheese dip and continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, milk, and egg in a medium bowl until smooth. Spread half of the batter in the pan, top with beef and bell pepper mixtures, then pour the rest of the batter evenly over the top. Finally, sprinkle drained onions over the batter.
  • Bake until golden brown with a set center, for about 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into squares. Optionally, warm up leftover cheese dip according to package instructions and drizzle over each portion.
