Prepare flavorful pickled jalapenos in advance for versatile spicing. Begin a week before serving.
Ingredients:
  • 10 fresh jalapeno chillies
  • 125.00 ml white wine vinegar
  • 4.80 gm salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Instructions:
  • Slice the chillies into 5mm-thick rounds while wearing gloves.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, cumin seeds, and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a boil, add chili, and stir well. Remove from heat and let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Using a slotted spoon, gently move the chili into a warm sterilized 2-cup glass jar. Pour hot vinegar mixture into the jar to cover the chili. Seal the jar and let it cool. Refrigerate for 1 week to enhance flavors. Use within 1 month after opening.
