Easy Pickled Jalapeno Peppers

Quick and convenient pickled jalapenos elevate any dish - from tacos to guacamole.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 0.75 cup white vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1.5 cups jalapeno peppers, sliced
Instructions:
  • Check a 12-ounce jar for any cracks. Place the jar in simmering water while you prepare the jalapenos. Clean a new, unused lid and ring with warm, soapy water.
  • In a small saucepan, combine water, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow the brine to cool slightly.
  • Place the jalapenos in the sterilized jar and carefully pour the cooled brine over them, leaving a half-inch of space at the top for expansion. Seal with the lid and chill in the refrigerator for 24 hours before enjoying.
