Savory sausage and melty mozzarella wrapped in pizza dough for a delicious on-the-go snack at picnics or games.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound Italian sausage roll (such as Jimmy Dean®)
  • 1 (13.8 ounce) package refrigerated pizza dough (such as Pillsbury®)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, stirring occasionally, until it is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and discard any excess grease.
  • Spread pizza dough on a 9x13-inch baking sheet, top with sausage and mozzarella. Roll dough around the filling like a cinnamon roll, sealing it shut. Place seam-side down, brush with olive oil before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
