Use flavorful sausages of your choice for these delicious rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 2 red onions, halved, thinly sliced
  • 40.00 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 12 chipolata sausages
  • 12 small dinner rolls, split
  • 70.20 gm Dijon mustard
  • 12 flat-leaf parsley sprigs
Instructions:
  • 1. In a frypan over medium heat, warm oil. Add onion and cook for 10-12 minutes until golden and tender. Turn up the heat to high, pour in balsamic, and stir for 2-3 minutes to caramelize. Move to a bowl, season generously, and allow to cool. Store the flavorful caramelized onion in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Grill sausages on a medium preheated barbecue until browned and fully cooked, turning occasionally for 8-10 minutes. Alternatively, bake in a preheated 180C oven on an oiled tray for 15-20 minutes. Let cool before serving.
  • To assemble, fill each dinner roll with caramelized onion, sausage, mustard, and a sprig of parsley for a gourmet touch.
