Festive Christmas wreath made with pigs in a blanket, a perfect appetizer for the holidays.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 (14 ounce) package cocktail-size smoked link sausages (such as Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies ®)
  • 12 sprigs fresh rosemary, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Lay out crescent roll dough and generously brush with Dijon mustard. Cut each triangle into three smaller triangles. Place a sausage on the thick end of a dough strip and roll up towards the narrow end. Repeat with remaining dough to make 24 pigs in a blanket. Save any leftover sausages for later.
  • Place the pigs in a blanket in a circle on a round pizza pan, ensuring the rolls are gently touching.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes until the dough is golden brown and puffed. Allow to cool briefly before gently moving the wreath to a round serving tray. If sections separate, reshape the circle as needed.
  • Place ketchup in the center of the wreath and encircle it with fresh rosemary sprigs for a beautiful presentation.
