Elevate your rice with a simple and fast recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cloves
  • 300g basmati rice
  • 18.40 gm sunfl ower oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cinnamon quill
  • 3-4 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • 10 fresh curry leaves (see note)
Instructions:
  • Wash rice until water is clear, then drain. Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until softened. Add spices and curry leaves, cook until fragrant. Stir in rice, 1 tsp salt, and 600ml boiling water. Simmer covered on low for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender. Fluff with fork and serve.
