Delightful volcano cake filled with M&M's, honeycomb, and rocky road - a fun treat for all!
Ingredients:
  • 4 x 200g blocks dark chocolate, chopped
  • 166.65 gm thickened cream
  • 4 x 600g chocolate mud cakes with icing
  • 2 x 345g packets M&M’s (see notes)
  • 2 x 400g packets choc honeycomb, roughly chopped
  • 3 x 145g packets milk chocolate Rocklea Road, roughly chopped
  • 220g packet chocolate coconut rough
  • 140g packet dark Maltesers
  • 140g packet milk Maltesers
  • 500.00 ml caramel popcorn
  • 136g packet fruit strings
  • 3 rainbow fruit salad roll-ups
  • 3 rainbow berry roll-ups
Instructions:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine half of the dark chocolate with the cream. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring halfway through until smooth. Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes until thickened to a spreadable consistency.
  • Cut out an 8cm round from the center of 2 cakes and discard. Place 1 whole cake on a cake board or serving plate. Top with 1 cut cake, pressing gently to secure, then add the remaining cut cake. Fill the hole with M&M's. Finish by placing the remaining uncut cake on top to enclose, pressing gently to secure. Trim the edge of the top cake at an angle to create a dome shape.
  • Set aside 3 pieces of chopped honeycomb and 2 pieces of chopped rocky road. Use chocolate icing as the adhesive and follow the provided picture to adorn the remaining honeycomb, rocky road, coconut rough, Maltesers, and popcorn all around the cake, keeping the top bare.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, place the rest of the dark chocolate. Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 1 to 2 minutes, pausing to stir halfway through, until it's melted and smooth. Drizzle the chocolate along the side of the cake and arrange the fruit strings on top, letting them cascade down the sides and affix them with the chocolate.
  • Skewer the top of the cake and use the picture as a guide to arrange roll-ups to resemble flames. Decorate straws with reserved honeycomb and rocky road pieces, then place them on top of the cake following the picture as a guide. Serve and enjoy.
