Try this effortless and flavorful glazed ham with just 4 ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 393.75 gm pineapple juice
  • 500.00 ml ginger beer
  • 59.40 gm brown sugar
  • 23.40 gm Dijon mustard
  • 8kg cooked leg ham
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C (160C fan-forced).
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine pineapple juice, ginger beer, sugar, and mustard. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let it stand for 10 minutes before using.
  • With a small sharp knife, carefully cut the ham rind about 8cm from the shank. Use your thumb to separate the rind from the fat, peel it back, and remove it. Score the fat at 1cm intervals and wrap the shank end in foil.
  • Place the ham on a lightly greased wire rack in a large roasting pan. Pour boiling water into the pan until it reaches 2cm up the sides. Brush the ham with 1/4 of the pineapple glaze. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, basting with the remaining pineapple glaze every 20 minutes until the ham is golden and caramelized. Remove and discard the foil from the shank. Serve.
