Grill pizza for a crisp crust, top with mozzarella, prosciutto - ready faster than delivery!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound prepared pizza dough
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup ricotta
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Pinch salt
  • 6 pieces fresh mozzarella
  • 3 slices prosciutto, roughly chopped
  • 2 large basil leaves, roughly torn
Instructions:
  • Preheat the gas grill on High with all burners for 10-15 minutes to ensure it's perfectly heated.
  • Form the pizza dough into a round disc measuring 8 to 10 inches in diameter, then generously brush the dough with flavorful olive oil.
  • Adjust half of the grill burners to Low heat to achieve a blend of direct and indirect heat zones.
  • Gently place the dough on the grill over direct heat, then cover it. Grill until the bottom is lightly cooked with char marks, about 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Rotate crust ninety degrees (without flipping over) and grill until light grill marks appear on the crust, for 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Gently take the partially grilled dough off the grill. Spread creamy ricotta over the dough. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and fragrant Italian seasoning. Layer the cheese and evenly distribute the savory prosciutto on top.
  • Place the pizza back on the grill over indirect heat and cook until the cheese is gooey and melted, which should take around 3 minutes. Remove the pizza from the grill with caution.
  • Preheat the broiler in the oven.
  • Broil pizza until cheese is golden, approximately 5 minutes. Sprinkle torn basil on top and let the pizza rest before cutting into wedges.
