Make viral Pizza Skulls at home with pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni for a delicious twist on classic pizza.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (13.8-oz.) can refrigerated pizza crust dough (such as Pillsbury)
  • 4 1/2 oz.  low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded (about 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp.)
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce, plus more for serving
  • 6 Tbsp. mini pepperoni (from 1 [5-oz.] pkg.)
  • 1 1/2 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 6 Tbsp.)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
Instructions:
  • Collect all your beautiful ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 400℉. Roll out the dough on a clean surface into a 15- x 10-inch rectangle, then cut it into 6 (5- x 5-inch) squares.
  • Take one piece of dough and gently place it into a cavity of a nonstick 6-cavity skull-shaped cakelet pan.
  • Create a delicious filling by stacking 1 tablespoon mozzarella, 1 tablespoon pizza sauce, 1 tablespoon pepperoni, 1 tablespoon mozzarella, 1 tablespoon pizza sauce, 1 tablespoon mozzarella, 1 tablespoon parmesan, and 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning at the center of the dough square.
  • Gently bring the edges of the dough together and firmly pinch to seal, removing any extra dough as needed.
  • Continue creating delicious pockets by filling and sealing the remaining dough squares with the remaining cheese, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning.
  • Bake in a hot oven until perfectly cooked and lightly golden, for 16 to 18 minutes.
  • Gently transfer the baked skulls to a serving plate. Allow them to cool for 5 minutes before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
