Old-fashioned plum cobbler: Baked plums with sugar and tapioca, topped with a simple shortcake for a cozy dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 12 plums, pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose baking mix
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine plums, 1 cup sugar, water, tapioca, and cinnamon in a 2 quart baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes or microwave for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Combine baking mix, 3 tablespoons sugar, milk, and melted margarine in a bowl to create a biscuit dough. Spoon the dough onto the plum mixture and bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes until golden brown. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
