Impress guests with festive cookies-on-a-stick made with Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix and ready-to-spread frosting for quick party treats!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Flour, butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for cutout cookies
  • 12 wooden sticks with rounded ends
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Creamy White Frosting (or any white variety)
  • Betty Crocker™ gel food colors (in desired colors)
  • Assorted candy decorations
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until dough forms. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out rounds using a 3-inch cookie cutter. Place the cookies 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet, and gently insert a wooden stick into the side of each cookie.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges turn light golden brown. Let cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheet before transferring. Allow to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Separate the frosting into 4 small bowls. Color the frosting in 3 of the bowls with different food colors. Set aside some of the colored frostings for decorative piping. Use the remaining white and colored frostings to frost the cookies. Transfer each colored frosting into a small resealable plastic bag for piping, cut a small corner off the bag, and pipe desired designs onto the cookies. Finish by decorating with candy decorations.
