Indulge in a mouthwatering pork burger with avocado, spiced gherkins, and beetroot slaw for a top-notch BBQ feast.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg potatoes, peeled, cut into 1cm-thick batons
  • Vegetable oil, to deep-fry
  • 4 ciabatta rolls, halved
  • 500g pork steak
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
  • 150g Brand beetroot slaw
  • 95g mustard
  • 4 drained Brand sweet spiced gherkins, sliced
  • 1 avocado, halved, stoned, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, heat oil to 180C (until a cube of bread turns golden in 20 seconds). Fry chips in batches for 4 mins until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towel.
  • Preheat a lightly oiled barbecue grill or chargrill over medium-high heat. Grill rolls, cut-side down, for 1-2 mins, then set aside on a plate. Place a pork steak between two sheets of baking paper. Tenderize with a rolling pin until 1cm thick. Repeat with the rest of the steaks. Grill each steak for 2 mins on each side or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise and lemon juice. Season with your favorite spices. Add the slaw, then toss everything together until well combined.
  • Spread the roll bases with zesty mustard, then layer on the creamy avocado, crunchy coleslaw, savory pork, tangy gherkin, and finally top with the roll tops. Enjoy these delicious pork burgers with a side of crispy chips.
