Irresistible spice blend for summer grilling.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup (55 grams) kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons (25 grams) brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (10 grams) smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon (10 grams) granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon (1 gram) dried rubbed sage
  • 1 tablespoon (1 gram) dried thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons (4 grams) black pepper
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
  • Mix things up: In a 1-quart mixing bowl or 1-pint jar, add kosher salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika, granulated garlic, dried sage, dried thyme, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Use a whisk to blend the spices until combined, or simply screw the lid on the jar and shake it up.
