Sauté pork chops with sauerkraut, onions, apple juice, and caraway seeds for a flavorful one-pan meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
  • 16 ounces sauerkraut
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sizzle the pork chops in hot oil until they are beautifully seared on all sides. Once done, set aside.
  • In a hot skillet, combine sauerkraut, onion, apple juice, garlic, and caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper, sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. Place browned pork chops over the sauerkraut mixture. Cover, simmer over low heat for 20 minutes until the pork is fully cooked, reaching at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) when measured with an instant-read thermometer.
