Portabella Mushroom Burgers

Elevate dinner with quick and tasty grilled mushroom sandwiches. Ready in just 35 mins!
Ingredients:
  • 4 portabella mushroom caps (about 3/4 lb)
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 burger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat the gas or charcoal grill.
  • Place mushroom caps in a resealable plastic bag. In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, oil, basil, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the mushrooms in the bag, seal it, and let it marinate for 15 minutes, flipping the bag twice.
  • Grill mushrooms over medium heat and brush with reserved marinade for 5 to 8 minutes. Flip mushrooms and continue cooking for 3 to 6 minutes. Top with cheese and grill burger buns, cut side down, for 2 minutes until cheese melts. Serve mushrooms in buns.
