Indulgent chicken in velvety white wine sauce, perfect with fluffy rice.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 4 bone-in chicken breast halves, with skin
  • 1.5 cups chicken stock, or as needed
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides. Pour in chicken stock and white wine until chicken is halfway to two-thirds covered. Add garlic cloves, then sprinkle flour on top. Cover with a lid and simmer over medium-low heat for 40-45 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a dish to keep warm. Simmer the liquid in the skillet until it reduces to approximately 1 1/2 cups. Stir in the cream into the reduced liquid, mashing the garlic cloves. Add the chicken back to the pan and heat it through.
