Potato rostis with beetroot horseradish

Ingredients:
  • 2 large potatoes
  • ½ a red onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1½ teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 medium beetroots
  • 2 tablespoons creamed horseradish
Instructions:
  • Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess liquid. Finely slice the onion and crush the garlic. Toast the cumin in a dry pan. Grate the beetroot. Mix potatoes, onion, and garlic in a bowl, add cumin, and season. Shape into 4 patties. Fry in oil for 10 minutes on each side. Combine grated beetroot and horseradish in a bowl and serve atop the rostis.
