A beloved wedding staple that never fails to impress!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup shortening
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, whip up a fluffy mixture of butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, then pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 80-90 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
