Slow cooker chili: classic combo of beef, beans, and tomatoes for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained
  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, broken apart by hand
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 pinch cracked black pepper to taste
  • 4 fluid ounces beer
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef, onion, and garlic until fragrant and crumbly, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Discard any excess grease and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
  • Combine the pinto beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato soup with the beef mixture and stir well.
  • Combine chili powder, sugar, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and pepper in a bowl, blend into the beef mixture, and pour in the beer.
  • Slow cook for 6 to 8 hours.
