Delicious cinnamon and nutmeg breakfast treat sneakily includes whole wheat bread for a nutritious twist kids will love.
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.25 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread
  • 2 teaspoons butter
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dip the bread slices into the pumpkin mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 teaspoon of butter. Add 4 bread slices to the skillet and cook until golden on both sides, approximately 3 minutes per side. Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices using butter as needed.
