Pumpkin Ring Cake

Surprise your family with a delicious pumpkin cake as a festive alternative to traditional pie.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can (16 ounces) pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease and flour a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan.
  • Combine Bisquick, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, pumpkin pie spice, 1/4 cup milk, eggs, and pumpkin in a large bowl. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed and beat for 3 minutes. Spread the mixture in a pan.
  • Bake the cake for around 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then flip it onto a heatproof plate or wire rack. Remove the pan and allow the cake to cool completely.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients until velvety and thin for drizzling. Drizzle on top of the cake.
