Spicy hummus with cayenne, cilantro, and cumin. Perfect with veggies and pita chips!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and 1/4 cup liquid reserved
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Combine garbanzo beans, cilantro, and onion in a blender or food processor until coarsely chopped; mix. Incorporate garlic, cumin, cayenne pepper, and sea salt; blend, adding reserved garbanzo liquid to achieve desired consistency. Stir in olive oil and lemon juice to finish the hummus.
