Whip up customizable air fryer nachos in no time.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 8 ounces lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 5 ounces thin corn tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 (15.25 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 0.33 cup salsa, or to taste
  • 3 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 0.33 cup sour cream, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for 5 minutes. Line the basket with foil or parchment paper and coat with cooking spray.
  • In a heated skillet, brown the ground beef until crumbly for about 3 minutes; drain excess grease. Add water, taco seasoning, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Remove skillet from heat.
  • Place tortilla chips in the basket, ensuring they are slightly overlapping to prevent cheese from dripping through. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese evenly over the chips, creating layers in the fryer basket or cook in batches for a single layer.
  • Spread an even layer of ground beef and black beans over the cheese, garnish with fresh green onions, and generously dollop salsa on top.
  • Place the basket in the air fryer and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and edges are slightly browned. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Transfer the nachos to a serving plate, top with a dollop of sour cream, and serve promptly. Set out additional toppings in small bowls for personalizing nachos.
