Quick Cabbage and Chicken Meatballs

One-skillet cabbage and chicken meatballs with plentiful veggies. Quick, easy to make, clean up, store and reheat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (23 ounce) package prepared chicken meatballs, such as Aidells® Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs
  • 1 yellow onion, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/3 head cabbage, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons marinara sauce
  • Creole seasoning to taste
  • Crushed black pepper to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the meatballs and onion. Cook while stirring occasionally until the onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the cabbage, the last bit of butter, marinara sauce, Creole seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the pot. Cook while stirring often until the cabbage reaches your desired tenderness, approximately 3 minutes.
