Impress loved ones with this simple yet stunning apple tart made with caramelized apples and flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients:
  • 3 red apples, cored, cut into thin wedges
  • 110g brown sugar
  • 0.63 gm ground cinnamon
  • 10.60 gm lemon juice
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 35g walnut
  • Double cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200C and prepare a large baking tray with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the apple, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let it sit for 10 minutes to enhance the flavors.
  • Place the pastry on a prepared tray. Score a 1cm border around the edge using a small knife (do not cut all the way through). Prick the center of the pastry several times with a fork. Arrange the apple slices on the pastry, overlapping slightly. Bake for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the apples are just tender. Brush with a little of the reserved juices, sprinkle with walnuts, and serve with cream.
