Ingredients:
  • 6 large good-quality pork sausages
  • 300ml chicken style liquid stock
  • 400ml tomato passata or good-quality tomato sauce
  • 425g can cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 fresh bay leaves
  • 46.80 gm wholegrain mustard
  • 30.00 gm unsalted butter
  • 500.00 ml soft white fresh breadcrumbs
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh herbs (such as basil, oregano and parsley)
Instructions:
  • - Preheat the oven to 190°C. - Heat half of the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. - Brown the sausages. - Stir in stock, tomato sauce, beans, fennel seeds, bay leaves, and mustard. - Transfer everything to an ovenproof casserole dish.
  • Prepare the pan by rinsing and drying it. Then on medium heat, melt the butter and remaining oil in the pan. Add the breadcrumbs and herbs, mix well to coat. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the casserole. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
