Indulgent cinnamon raisin bread makes the perfect French toast casserole. Serve warm with maple syrup for a delightful family breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups cubed cinnamon raisin bread
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter, cut into chunks
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with butter.
  • Transfer the bread cubes into the pan that has been prepared.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes and place chunks of butter on top. Let it sit for 10 minutes for the bread to soak up the liquid. Finish by sprinkling with cinnamon.
  • Bake in the oven until the top is beautifully golden, for about 45 to 50 minutes.
