Quick and easy cinnamon raisin bread, no yeast needed for a delicious treat in less time.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and raisins in a large bowl. Mix well and create a well in the center.
  • In a small bowl, vigorously beat the egg until frothy. Combine with melted butter and milk. Pour the mixture into the center of the dry ingredients. Gently stir just until everything is moistened. Transfer the batter into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until golden brown. Enjoy plain or toasted with a spread of butter.
